Home MenuFamily Bike Ride 2026
Due to the poor weather forecast for tomorrow morning, we've made the tough decision to cancel this year's Family Bike Ride (scheduled for Saturday, August 15). This is out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of all attendees.
While we’re disappointed that we won’t get to enjoy the bike ride tomorrow, we sincerely hope that you will join us for next year! A date will be decided early 2027, so keep an eye out!
Join the Special Events Commission for a free community bike ride!
Spend some quality time with your family or just enjoy a leisurely 4-mile bike ride around Mount Prospect with your neighbors. Before or after the ride, hang out for some bike safety education and visit booths from local organizations.
Ride in style with our bike decorating station, take some giveaways home, and enjoy more family-friendly activities before the school year starts! As a bonus, kids who complete the bike ride will receive a Bike Ride Achievement Award from the Mount Prospect Raising Cane's location – good for a free Kids Combo.

A little over 3 miles, the Family Bike Ride route is designed to be leisurely and not too physically taxing for inexperienced riders.
